SimpleCare Co-Founder To Meet With International
Health Care Experts
The Korean Medical Association is inviting one of the
founders of SimpleCare to exchange
ideas with other prominent international figures in the health care industry
later this month.
The forum is in the wake of a four-month strike of 60,000
Korean doctors. The doctors blame
low reimbursement among reasons for the strike.
Dr. David MacDonald started SimpleCare
with the hope of combating similar problems in the American health care system.
MacDonald claims that low reimbursement by insurance
companies is causing a “health care crisis” in the United States.
He asserts that skyrocketing costs paired with inadequate compensation
are causing financial distress among health care providers, and that inflated
prices are making health care unaffordable for uninsured patients.
MacDonald helped design the SimpleCare program in an effort to reduce the cost of health care for both
patients and providers. SimpleCare
eliminates much of the paperwork and hassle associated with insurance and allows
providers to charge a reduced fee for patients who pay in full at the time of
service. SimpleCare visits
require no billing, insurance forms, or coding. This dramatically reduces the cost of the visit, allowing the
provider to charge considerably less and still come out ahead.
MacDonald will attend the international forum in Seoul on October 19 and 20. For more information about SimpleCare, contact the SimpleCare office at 206-362-1111 or email membership@simplecare.com.
